Confusing capturing race

My first game of the new year was pretty intense, (at least for a supposed 11 kyu!) and it was pretty even and calm up until the end, where I messed up and got a bit greedy putting a large group at the top corner in danger. I kind of flailed around and misread a couple of things, but then I found what I think is the key point. My opponent resigned, and we went over a few variations, most of them turned out in my favour. Did I play well here? I know that if I paid more attention I wouldn't have gotten into a fight like this in the first place, but did I do well, or did my opponent just misread? I went through a few variations myself afterwards and I'm pretty sure that the place my opponent went wrong was playing at D 15. Even though he put my stones in atari, all it did was force me to make the eye I would have needed to make anyways, and it filled in an important liberty.

Yeah, that certainly would have saved his group, and killed me. I was thinking about that earlier on, I'm not sure why he didn't connect there when he had the chance

An auspicious start to the New Year! A real coup! :)

A few comments, starting at B 177.

I never even thought of trying to make seki! If it had ended up a seki then it looks like it could have been anyones game

That was a really cool tesuji at the very end! I don't think I've played that sort of move in my own game.
