A new round of L19 moderators!

To all L19 forum members,
L19 has now stabilised as a reasonably active and thriving Go community, and the moderation / administration have been discussing moderation policies for the forum. We have decided that it would be good to have a yearly refresher of the moderation team to ensure:
a) All moderators are there with the full support of the majority of the forum members
b) Moderators have an incentive to keep doing a good job if they want to retain their role
c) There is full accountability from the forum community as to the team they elect to be responsible for the moderation of the forums
The situation has arisen because of a few reasons:
a) Of the four elected moderators, two are no longer active L19 members
b) There has been the occasional bad aji regarding moderation practices on L19, although the majority of the time there have been few issues
c) We feel that this increases the transparency and accountability of the moderation practices on L19
So, we have decided that we feel 4 moderators is a good number to continue through 2011 with, and this does not include administrators. We have agreed that there is a separation between the roles of an administrator (responsible for handling the software and functionality of the forums) and a moderator (responsible for maintaining atmosphere, content, and enforcing policies in the forums). Admins are also going to stand as nominees if they wish to be a moderator as well, but this is not going to be implicit otherwise, with the exception of handling spam, porn and other gross abuses of the forum software.
We currently have 4 nominees: araban, Chew Terr, Joaz Banbeck, and topazg, and are looking for at least 4 more people to volunteer their services as a potential forum moderator. If you are interested, please respond to this thread. When all nominations are in, all registered forum users will have 4 votes, and the 4 moderators with the highest votes will be selected to moderate the forums in 2011.
