Anders Kierulf just posted the following tweet:

Here's the embedded video:

Indeed, even though CNN has a ticker at the bottom saying "Kissinger: To understand Chinese mindset, have to understand their intellectual game of 'Go'", all the images on screen are either of Chess or Xiang'qi for almost a minute -- Go never shows up at all :(

Way to go, CNN.

An actual example of a Chinese leader using weiqi to analyze international conflict.

Henry Kissinger is a Nobel Prize winner?!!! That's like making flipper, captain of the Titanic. Has the whole world gone crazy? I no longer have any respect for and will forever question the validity of the Nobel Prizes

Noteworthy, maybe, is that the Peace Prize is a special Nobel Prize given by Norway and not the Swedish Nobel Academy. (Due to the fact that when Alfred Nobel died, there was a Scandinavian union.)
The Peace Prize is often given to people who seem unworthy of it and it seems the reason behind it is to either put focus on a problem in the world (last year's winner) or push someone further towards what s/he seems to be trying to accomplish (2009 year's winner).
My guess is that Kissinger got the prize because of this

PS Another special Nobel Prize is the Economy Prize, that has no connection to Alfred Nobel at all.
