It was a joke. Thanks a lot for this new feature and the responsive attitude to feedback.

While looking at these fields again, I noticed that the KGS field was only big enough for only one name, whereas some people have several handles there. It is now big enough for three names of 10 characters each.

Also, what are the max name lengths for other servers?

If the user info space becomes too cluttered, we could always look into a 'show' button, similar to Kirby's recent inline tagging. For example, if user info tabs start to be longer than the users' posts.

I think this would be an excellent idea. Maybe some thing that would consolidate all available server handles. When people fill them all out, it makes for a lot of information and makes things start looking cluttered (and hard to read).

Imo it is redundant to have 'handle', it is better like this:

KGS: asdf
IGS: asdf
ORO: asdf
Tygem: asdf

Rather than:

KGS handle: asdf
IGS handle: asdf
ORO handle: asdf
Tygem Handle: asdf

I third this... it looks cluttered.

I think a show/hide link for handles defeats the purpose. It should be all or nothing--show them or relegate them to people's profiles.

Why do I want someone's KGS handle? Either to challenge them to a game, or recognize them when I go on KGS. For the former, it's easy enough to click through to their profile. The latter works best when you see the names a lot. If you see MssrBlanc next to my name every day on the forums, you might remember that I'm that jerkwad from the boards. But are you really going to click on a "show handles" button often enough to remember that I'm MssrBlanc, and daniel_the_smith is lavalamp, and Araban is fi, and on and on? That's a lot of clicking.

It's like how no one would go to a website just to read their friend's poop joke, but they would laugh when they see it on Twitter.

Yes. It is easy. I just created a new field.

BTW, it is not automated. It is just an alphanumeric field that you set like any other.
