Day and date question

I'm seeing posts with "Wed, July 28th" in the upper right. I thought that Wednesday is the 27th.
EDIT: Here in my post, the day and date are correct. But in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1214, they appear to be in error. Are others seeing this too? Or is it at my end?
