Troubleshooting Go Write 2

Um, I didn't know where to put this really, so I picked this part of the forum
Does anyone use GoWrite 2? I recently switched laptops, I installed Java, but I can't run GoWrite anymore! It says:
"GoWrite Launcher failed, no usable JVM found"
I find this impossible as I have the latest version of Java installed from the Java website. I don't know what's up with it.

Hmmm, I've fiddled with the program a bit, but I don't remember if I got this error. I do know I had some trouble setting it up originally. Have you tried downloading the previous stable version on the download page (of gowrite)?

I downloaded the oldest stable version and it said I was missing some .dll file and I had to reinstall it. I then proceeded to reinstall it....and got the same error message. I tried the second oldest stable, and that gave me the "No usable JVM" thing. I already have Java installed from java.com. I don't really understand why this is not working.

it sounds like java is not in the path.
if you open a command prompt and type "java -version", what do you get?
