Where? Lille, France.
When? 13th - 23rd of August

All the events are McMahon tournaments, not Swiss. So you don't get to play the tip top players, like in the WAGC. Also, there are no professionals allowed - you can guess why. :) However, some pros may give commentaries.
To enter, you must be nominated by your national federation, and have a passport.
There is no sponsorship. (Who knows, some may appear.)

There are 5 sections:

1 Men's Individual (13th-16th)
2 Women's Individual (13th-16th)
3 Youth (Under 21) (20th to 23rd)
4 Pair Go (20th to 23rd)
5 Team Go (3 player team) (17th to 19th)

Pair and Team Go can have 2 teams from each country.
Men's, Women's, and Youth can have 5 players from each country.

Accommodation: There are hotels available at "special rates" close to the venue

This completely changes the nature compared to the 1st WMSG. To understand the nature well, one would need to know the details (such as the top bar, is at least one player per country in the top group) of the McMahon tournament's system. Is the character similar to a world amateur go championship or similar to the British "Mind Sports Olympics", i.e. just a meeting with an exaggerated name?

I'd imagine it was a normal McMahon tournament, with no special places on offer above the bar.

We will have to wait; it could also turn out to be a mixture of Swiss and McMahon.
