Hi everybody,
a few months ago I posted about my plans to pursue singer-songwriting. I still haven`t got a real website, but I have now got a SoundCloud account and have begun making new recordings.

If you are interested, please check out my song "Only by love", on the link http://www.soundcloud.com/threecoloursjones and let me know what you think!

Thanks a lot!

Do You have to register to listen to it? I don't have an account there, and can't see any song from You.

It was a newbie error with privacy settings. Please let me know if you still can`t access it, and thanks very much for your patience!!

I liked the singing and the whole arrangement. Interesting way of playing the guitar:) The part I liked the least is the solo, so I will write most about it  It was too repetitive for my taste, I would like to hear something bit "more rocky" consisting few more licks and preferably in "explosion style". With this style I mean something bands like Europe were known for, so that a solo starts simpler and calmer, but has a "bombastic" conclusion:P

Thanks for listening and for your feedback, Gorim!

I can see your point about the guitar solo being repetitive. Actually, I`m still trying to stop thinking classically (i.e., obeying rules of part-writing etc.,) and to learn to improvise in a more spontaneous way. I am starting to work out how it is done, but it`s quite a leap of faith all the same. I`d especially like to be able to shift up and down the fretboard with a movable pattern in the manner of Kirk Hammett, but it tends to be difficult for me to keep the rhythm fluid and constant, which is why I tend to stick to static, cellular patterns when attempting to play fast. Still, onwards and upwards!

I like it. I … like to listen to all kinds of different music, excluding whatever sounds boring to me, or hurts my ears or, continually, my sense of harmony. This is some quite unusual music you make, IMHO

This is just to let you know that I have posted one more song, "Morning Sun", to SoundCloud. From now on, I shall assume anybody who`s interested in my music will know where to look for it so, don`t worry, I won`t keep bothering people with announcements here!

Thanks a lot for everybody who`s taken the trouble. Honest, constructive feedback is like gold to me.
