Life In 19x19

Hey everyone, I will be using this thread for all the game reviews I'll be doing. I intend to review 1 game I play each day. In my blog I will post this game review, along with what I studied today. I had no idea how to post the reviewed sgf file to my blog so it ended up like this. Hope you don't mind ;d

GAME REVIEW 1

Making a new post is not really necessary but I shall do it anyway!

The internet has been out over here so I haven't really been able to post blog updates. As a special treat I have found three great pro games and spat a few quick comments into the sgf files but don't expect anything much. Mostly the games are uncommented, especially the long arduous fights which ensue in some of them. I hope you will enjoy the games as much as I did!

Two nice pro games with a few comments. I recommend atleast checking out the Takemiya game, it's short and nice. The other game is also pretty cool imo.

Liked the video. Out of curiousity, what's wrong with KGS? Is it the playerbase, the people in charge, or the program itself?

Here's what I wrote to Tami in a pm about my dislike of kegs.

The reason I don't like kegs very much is simply because there are alot of rude people there. I also think the ranking system is horrible. I much prefer kaya and tygem because those systems do not 'punish' you for playing alot in a short amount of time. Kegs kinda forces you to make new accounts to not get stuck if you were 'leveling' up like I was :=)

But, every server has offensive people. So I think it just comes down to the ranking system mostly. That, and the lenient escaper policy. It helps to play on tygem where you're forced to resign or complete the game. But on KGS the evil option of simply leaving stares you in the face. And I also like kaya/tygem stone sounds and looks better ^^

That's all really. I probably don't hate kegs as much as I appear to do, but I'll probably still avoid the server if I can.
