Ok..maybe semi-professional, but the Seattle Go Center just sent out an announcement that our very own
xed_over has excepted the part-time position of Saturday day manager for the SGC. I hope you will all join me in congratulating him on his new position. I encourage everyone to stop by the SGC on as many Saturdays as possible and make him work extra hard.

Congratulations Xed!

As manager of the Seattle Go Center, I would like to point out that garbage management is a complicated issue in Seattle. For example, why do some people break into our dumpster and leave garbage, and then later, someone (else?) takes it?

Well, apparently I have a fan base

I had forgotten that I had taught my boss from a previous job how to play go a number of years ago. Having heard the announcement that I'll be working at the Go Center on Saturdays, he came by today. We had a nice visit and reviewed some problems from a book he's been reading.
Altogether maybe a little more than a half dozen folks stopped by today, including a few regulars, at least one of whom makes it a little difficult to teach beginners when he's around. In everyone's life there are challenging personalities, and I just have to learn to deal with those in mine (since the moderation policies are different in real life, and he already has his own key)
But a fun day today, none-the-less.

I'm glad it went well. I almost called in to ask if Seymour Butz (5k) was around for a game, but decided give you a break
