Large Collection of Go Books for Sale

Howdy Fellow Go Players!

I'm considering selling off a bunch of English-language Go books. Attached is a list of what I've got available at the moment, which range from rare original Ishi press editions to newer stuff. I'm willing to entertain all reasonable offers -- send me a message or post below. Think of $5 each as a likely minimum, with most in the $10-$15 range, and a few of the scarce ones priced around 10% below whatever they're current listed for on Amazon, ABE, etc. I'm not looking to get rich here, but this collection represents a substantial investment and I do need to get a fair amount of it back.

I live in the US (WA), but can ship internationally, etc. Shipping will be actual cost (postage plus packing; no "handling" fee), and I'm happy to discuss discounts for multiple volumes. Payment can be by PayPal, cash or check (books mailed after clearing).

About the books... All are in very good or excellent condition, unless otherwise noted, vary from being almost unread to having minor wear from normal usage. I haven't listed authors or publishers (Google is your friend), except for where a book is published by both Ishi and Kiseido. For these books, the editions are Ishi unless specifically listed as Kiseido.

If you have questions, ask! Otherwise, here's hoping you find something on the list you've been looking for!

All the best,
JaimeK

Jaime

Much better than uploading an Excel file (and forcing users to download the file and open in some program), you could just paste the whole list in your first post, apply strike tags to the ones you’ve already sold (or simply delete), and then just add a short note to the end of the thread, telling people that you’ve updated the first post ;-)

Also, it would be a LOT easier for me if you’d add the price you want for every book, so I could decide whether I want it or not.

Greetings, Tom

Hi Jaime,

I have not heard from you yet, regarding these books with shipping costs.

Just wondering what the status is.

Thanks.

Me too. Having send half the money four days ago, an update on the status would be nice.

I would like to warn everyone to not send him money, until he has responded. He might have good reasons, maybe not.

He just got back to me via email: the books shipped last week and I also got a tracking number for it. I have express delivery so the package will be here quite soon.

So it seems like life just intervened and he wasn't able to catch up.

That's good to hear that you were not screwed out of your money.

Unfortunately, I have still not heard from the seller after he quoted me the price for the books. I messaged him to let me know what the shipping cost are and have not heard from him since.

The lack of communication really makes me uneasy about doing business, at this point.

Please let me know if any of this is incorrect, but otherwise buyer beware!

I've met JamieK a number of years ago at the Tacoma, WA go club. I don't think you have anything to worry about. It just sounds like he's leaving the game, so not very active on the boards here, and may also just be busy with life. A PM here should ping him by email (but sounds like you guys already have his email).
