Is there anything special that can be done to help playing serial games and or study. I find that often times I feel like I am trying to play the last game I won or lost or trying to make that last concept that I studied work in a game that really doesn't call for it, it seems like there ought to be a way to avoid this problem baggage.

Instead of breaking the game up into influence and territory, joseki tesuji reading etc. , or seperating concepts remember that your game should follow the same mindset throughout and all concepts are connected
