Life In 19x19

As of November 21 my KGS account turned 10 years old. Its closing in on being a teenager.

I wonder who has older accounts out there besides wms. ckg turned 10 on Nov 25.

September 20, 2002, so we're pretty close in time.

I found 3 other accounts that are Nov 1, 2002 or earlier. Mine is younger, July 2003.

Man, I feel all young again. I hadn't even heard of Go until 2005

my kgs account is 2003, but my dgs account was in 2002

24. March, 2004 -- I wonder how well I'd play if I hadn't have long gaps of not playing at all. Nevertheless, trying to change this now

There are 672 active accounts that are at least 10 years old.

241 of those are at least 11 years old.

61 of those are at least 12 years old.

4 of those are at least 13 years old.

Of the 4 teenaged accounts, two are mine (wms and Admin). Let's see if you all can figure out who the other two are.

One of them is John Tromp. Was he an early beta tester?

Yup! If I remember right, he was also the first admin. He retired from that position long ago.

Hmm. ngarry is pretty old, but not old enough... This is a fun puzzle.

As I side note, in my search for a 13 year old player, a surprising number of accounts were created in 2004... I wonder if this has to do with Hikaru no Go...
