Have you ever fought a serious battle vs yourself? If so, how did it go?

When I did it was incredibly hard. It went on for hours. I got so mad at white when I played black and vise versa. When white won because I made a mistake with black it felt like a loss even though it was also my win. And so I played several games after word vs myself and was able to see my weaknesses more clearly... though the wins and losses were even on both sides.

In the most painful way possible... I am my most ultimate and worthy rival. lol :white: :black:

Every time I read my next move.

I just lack a way of stopping my opponents from thinking better moves than my other me.

I once played against myself to show my children what moves I ponder on and how I think. I won against myself by 7 points

I tried it once to see how it would be like, but I got bored and felt weird after 20 moves. Playing Go against myself doesn't feel like playing Go at all, for me.

It's odd that I didn't feel the same with chess, I think I played 2 or 3 games of chess against myself without feeling that out of place.

I have played myself a couple times, mostly as a reason to use a physical board since I can almost never make it to my Go club. I think I must subconsciously take sides, because I always ended up crushing myself by 20 or more points.
