Unable to post

This morning I have been trying to post the next installment in the GoGoD games but, if I preview or try to save as a draft or just submit the post (the latter is what I have done the past three days), the text just disappears and I am back at the new topic screen.

Any ideas?

1) Wait (a few minutes or days) and try again.

2) Ask an admin for a possible explanation.

maybe there are some unusual characters in your sgf text that the forum is choking on?

Apparently not, since both John and I were able (eventually) to post the message. Since it seems to have cleared up, I'll have to leave it as it is.

Best wishes.

from time to time, this site does seem to have issues that on the surface appear to be some sort of resource constraints at our hosting site (maybe the database is consuming too much memory or cpu, etc.)

no one has been able to nail it down yet. it clears up after a while (maybe the hosting company reboots the database, or something)

This seems to be the current explanation (rebooting the database).

There was talk (Joaz, Jordus, etc.) about moving us to a dedicated server/database, but nothing has been reported since then. Anything new admins, site mods, Jordus?

Would be good to get these things nailed down. Maybe get more technical input from the actual hosting company? Don't want a repeat of technical problems bringing down a very active site (again).
