How well does it handle variations? I like the graphic style, I'm tempted to buy it just for the "papery" feeling.

I tried my very best to handle variations. Currently, I have tested a lot of games from: http://www.flygo.net/mjxj.html

Those SGFs:

- contains many classic games
- comes with lots of variations
- are very old :D

I'll post some more screenshots of how variations are shown tonight.

I'm liking it so far. The flat UI, the paper-kifu feeling, the way of showing game information. If I were to be picky, I'd ask for exactly the same app, the same neat design... and editing capabilities, so I can comment my own games with it. Letters, triangles, all the goodies :)

Also, click-selecting variations, probably adding a preview of variations, too (to browse Kogo's Joseki Dictionary, for example, by tapping a, b, c etc) would make it awesome. Although currently it works very well with Kogo's (takes a little to load but opens perfectly fine and browses as well)

I'm also missing "Open in..." so I can open SGF files from email straight to Qipan (have to download to dropbox and then to Qipan now.)

But for a version 1.0, I'm very impressed

Thanks for the time using it and the great reviews and comments! Editing is a major undertaking and I cannot promise now. I will definitely keep improving the UI and so please keep the feedbacks coming.

"Open in..." is in version 1.1, now being reviewed by AppStore ;-)

Upcoming version 1.3 enhances encoding handling for both Traditional and Simplified Chinese. It's now being reviewed by AppStore.
