Unless I'm missing something here...

It may also be that my status is "lives with ko".

@Hermann

How about :b12: at T15 to make it a direct ko?

@tomukaze
Yes, of course black should choose ko. I was just demonstrating the idea behind the problem and the reason for those white stones along the right side :)

Obviously some of us L19's have imprinted that extra 'n' after the obligatory 10,000 hours of reading/posting here. But pretty clearly it is all your fault for creating that link in our shallow and impressionable minds to begin with. :blackeye:

Wow! It looks like I am the main perpetrator, which is extremely embarrassing, particularly because the exact same thing constantly happens to me and I'm forever getting in people's case about it. My last name ends in ______man with one "n" and I live in Germany, and even when telling it to someone's face that my last name ends in one "n" they will write it with two. It seems that Germans are so used to writing "mann" with two n's that they find it virtually impossible to do otherwise. As a consequence, I often don't get emails and mystified institutions claim to have no record that I have ever done business with them. Now it appears as if I've gone German myself, assuming that the Dutch like the Americans must double their n's like we Germans do... Looks like I ought to change the spelling of my name! :shock:

Don't you mean Germann? :lol:

Anyway, I don't mind at all, I just thought it was funny. I expect most people who make this mistake are either from a German speaking region or interact with Germans a lot.

Would you call the person "her man" or "her mann"? :D

Her man is Herman and Herman ain't German
Herr Mann ist der Mann mit dem Vornamen Hermann
His wife is Frau Mann and her man ain't Herman
Hermann is her man and her man is German
