High School is Over!

So I just wrote my final exam (the dreaded Chemistry one) today, and now my high-school days are over! Next year, I'm heading off the University of Waterloo to study Computer Science. And, most importantly, they have a Go club there! Though it is sad to have to say goodbye to my good friends, I'm looking forward to it.
Now that school's out, I can hopefully start getting some games on KGS in again. I'm out of shape, my few games on there have been, well,

Ah! Such memories. I finished high school 40 years ago this month (people did not graduate from UK schools). I was glad to get out of there. Never met any of the people from there since and am not complaining. And I had never heard of go at that time. I learned about it the following year at university.
All I remember is that I walked out of there and never went back. I went straight off to a cricket match and, because of time constraint and other things, remains to this day the only complete 3-day match I have ever seen from beginning to end.

Congratulations! One phase done, now onto the next one...and more schooling.

I remember those days. They weren't really all that long ago.

Enjoy the break while you can.

Hey, welcome to Waterloo, Dusk Eagle!

It's a great school, and the Go club is pretty active as well.
I've only got less than a year left, and I'll be on co-op when you start in September, but I'll see you in the club come January 2011!

Since you are 16 years old that means you never been to school?

Yap... I have the honor to be homeschooled

Helel wrote:By coincidence the Swedish Riksdag yesterday (2010-06-22) passed a new school law that will bring Sweden much closer to Germany on this issue. Some people are quite upset.

Yes, that's a bad day for Sweden. The PISA survey revealed that Germany's school system is archaic and responsible for the poor language capabilities of many pupils.

Sry for highjacking the thread but I finally finished my apprenticeshipexam and can call me Informatikkaufmann (guess the english translation would be something like information technology officer?) ~ I'm so relieved ^_^
Regarding the schoolsystem:
I think the general problem of the german schoolsystem is the late investment of money. The biggest part of the school budget is invested in the higher-level-diploma-classes. The teachers in elementary school are earning the fewest of all teachers in the complete german school system. I think it should be the other way around, it is most important that the best teachers are supporting the young children.

High School is Over!
Not quite: it resumes as soon as you graduate college and get a real job.
