How do you guys like your diagrams?

Quick poll question:

When you're reading go books, how do you like to see diagrams with ko fights?

1- many diagrams, with only a few ko threats on each one and fewer of the :b4: @ blah, :w7: at blah, etc. etc.
2- few diagrams, putting as much of the ko on one diagram as possible until the players get on with the game.

I think i prefer 1, but it does tend to spread things out. Your thoughts?

If the ko diagramming is annoying me, I'll find the game on GoGoD and play it out on the computer or tablet for that section.

This seems to be close to the question wether many or few diagrams are better (without a ko fight). If space doesn't matter I prefere many diagrams (no matter if there is a ko fight or not).

However for the case that there is a (long) ko fight I check *before* how many moves are played in the ko (and if all are played in the same ko) and if there are moves skipped (I mean that not every third move is played there).

Assuming the same number of moves, I think with this method it's even easier to read a sequence with one 'normal' ko than a sequence without ko (because with a ko there are less 'new' moves).

Definitely option 2 unless there is a lot of commentary which can be spread across multiple diagrams.
