A forfeit. It's odd. I don't understand

I just want to know what my opponent was thinking when he forfeited at move 28. It seems so odd, he was fine-ish, and I don't even think that I can connect my two groups. I'm black btw.

He probably just disconnected... (On KGS you don't see "forfeit" unless your opponent is a habitual escaper)
