Don't get me wrong, I'm really excited for the jubango and I love Lee and Gu, but I wonder if the likes of Chen Yaoye, Park Jungwhan, etc. are a little miffed.

I think this younger generation grew up idolizing these guys. Chen and Park may be stronger now but they have a long way to go to reach Gu Li and Lee Sedol status. I bet they are pretty excited for it and definitely not miffed.

If this is successful, there will be more jubangos. Who know, this could be the start of a new era in international go?

It would be great, maybe even something like Go Seigen's jubangos could emerge from this "clash of kings", however there isn't one dominant player like in the past, but who knows

There are members of the younger generation who might claim to be stronger today, but none of them have yet proved the longevity of Lee or Gu. Hopefully if one of them can, there will be another jubango like this one in ten years.

Good point! A sponsored Jubango every year between two top players would be amazing.
