No proper web site should be without cat pics, and since we just adopted one, I thought that it was time to start such a thread. Please post pics of your cat(s) here.

To get it started:

- Falstaff marketing pic.jpg (9.83 KiB) Viewed 271122 times
The above photo is the way he was shown on the shelter's web site.
Below is him making himself at home in our living room.

- Falstaff on white couch small.JPG (61.04 KiB) Viewed 271122 times
He is a British shorthair. He is vain and self-centered ( even for a cat ). It doesn't show much in the photos, but his eyes do not focus straight ahead, giving him a permanently plastered look. Also, he is fat: 18 pounds, 6 ounces. { EDIT: 18lbs, 14 oz }
So...British, vain, fat, and drunk...we named him Falstaff.

Ophelia, our six-month-old Bengal helping me cook what appears to be pad sie ew.
We also have a 14-year-old black and white called Phil.
Both of them like to steal go stones.
Does anyone else set up their board with bowls, stones, and a squirt gun?

Fatou, our adopted cat. 3.5 years, no specific race. He's playful but slightly bipolar. Hates being scratched in the belly unless he is half asleep. Can easily wake up then and slash your fingers. But loves purring at us, he's kind of weird.

Here are three of ours. The one in the first picture died last year aged 22.

Come on y'all. Yeah, yeah, cute cats. Let's see 'em with stones and/or boards.

We have a brother and a sister. This is him when he was about two. At this point, he probably weighed 20 pounds. Now he weighs at least 23 (he's both fat and extremely long).
Have we really never done this before (I see we have:
viewtopic.php?p=98651#p98651)?

My Cat who is old enough to drink:
I swear I didn't stuff him in there. He's recently taken to sleeping in tiny little boxes for some reason.

I think this is actually quite normal for cats. He probably sees trying to bite/scratch you as a game which goes nicely with being stroked, but cats can be quite vicious if they want to be so if he's not leaving deep puncture wounds when he bites you he's probably not really trying to hurt you. That said, it could be a warning bite instead of a playful one, so be careful...

Definitely warning bites. If I keep at it he'll menace me by meowling deep and than attack (usually I'm prepared and tap him in the head instead in a battle of speeds, pretty fun). But we enjoy the time together anyway

This is Plietsch, 10 years old, one of my cats. The ape in the background is me.
And yes, he’s really that large. A great fighter when other tomcats are around; otherwise he is rather a bit timid and not really clever, opposed to what the name “Plietsch” would suggest (Low German, more precisely: the Hamburg “Missingsch” for “clever”).
Meeow, Tom
=^..^=

Yes, so common that it has become a well-known meme; see also

How do you hide an attachment? There is nothing in the message to put the hid tag around.

Once you upload the attachment, "insert into post" (or similar) and then enclose the attached tag between spoiler tags.
