Steve Fawthrop's lessons on counting

Post by HermanHiddema »

Now that Steve has rehosted his counting lessons, here they are in Eidogo (regarding copyright: see bottom of post).

Lesson 1

Lesson 2

Lesson 3

Lesson 4

Lesson 5

A note on copyright:
This post does not duplicate Steve's content. Rather, all it does is load Eidogo, the HTML/JS SGF Viewer, which then loads the lessons from Steve's hosting provider. This means:

  1. If Steve alters the content of the files, those changes will be reflected here.
  2. If Steve moves, renames or removes the files, the viewers above will stop working

So, effectively, Steve maintains full control over his content. This post just provides a convenient way to view that content without downloading and renaming the files and without the requirement of installing an SGF viewer on your computer.

I talked to Mr. Fawthrop, and we resolved the issue. -JB

Still officially AGA 5d but I play so irregularly these days that I am probably only 3d or 4d over the board (but hopefully still 5d in terms of knowledge, theory and the ability to contribute).

Dr. Straw, they are not published here.

If you look at the code of Herman’s post, you will see that it only contains links to the files you posted for public access—albeit interpreted by the Eidogo viewer, thus made directly viewable here, which is a wonderful thing, IMHO.

Just the same, BTW, as happens when you append the URL of your file to Eidogo’s URL like this:
http://eidogo.com/#url:http://www.swva.net/strawman/GoWritings/Counting_Lesson_1.sgf.txt (click it, it’s a link)

And here on L9 the freely available Eidogo plugin reads this code:

Code: Select all

[sgf]http://www.swva.net/strawman/GoWritings/Counting_Lesson_1.sgf.txt[/sgf]
and renders this:

Greetings, and THANK YOU for making your lessons available to us all, even to those who are not that computer-savvy ;-)

Ah! His disclaimer is at the bottom, not the top as it probably should be. I did not see that. To me it looked like they were included inline.
