Well, we've reached the deadline of the second round, and 7 out of 8 matches have been played. The only one remaining is topazg-NinG. They were in contact earlier, but topazg is getting no response from NinG currently. I have given NinG an additional week to respond. If no response is forthcoming by August 7, I will award topazg a win by forfeit.

In the mean while, round 3 and loser bracket round can start, and indeed already have started :)

Overall, I am quite satisfied with the progress so far.

Given the fact that many players will be on holiday, perhaps at the US Go Congress 4-12 August, the deadline for this round is the end of August. (Friday the 31st)

From September forward, I will try to keep to a schedule of 1 round in the loser bracket every two weeks. (The loser bracket will be deciding the schedule because it has many more rounds and games). With 7 rounds remaining, that would take 14 weeks, or a little over three months, finishing early in December, and hopefully allowing the final to be played this year.

With no further contact from NinG, I will sadly have to award a win by forfeit. So topazg goes through and plays redundant.

I will put NinG in the loser bracket, in case he does return and wishes to continue, but the burden of making the game happen will be on him. If it hasn't happened by August 31st, Jordus receives a win by forfeit.

When is the round one of the losers bracket supposed to be finished by?

Just verifying: Am I supposed to be playing Hailthorn in the losers bracket?

Thanks.

The deadline for round one of the losers bracket is the end of August.

And yes, you play Hailthorn (and the winner of that game then plays lindentree, see also: http://hiddema.nl/L19-2012.html)

Jedo and I just played, and I won by resignation. After a slow opening, Jedo had no choice but to fight inside my moyo, and although he managed to live, my profit was to great to overcome.

Hailthorn does not seem to be answering his PM on the forum or on KGS.

Anyone know if he is on vacation?

According to the forum software, he last posted a week ago, and last visited today. Perhaps he hasn't noticed them yet.

Result processed in the tournament table.

Oh, and the shortest path for you two to meet again (as mentioned in the game comments), redundant will have to lose his next match (I will do my best ;) ) and then win one in the loser bracket, while topazg will need to win his next three games there. :)
