Hi,

since I have not played for a couple of months, KGS ratd my 3d? initially and I'm slowly regaining my old rank. Today I've played a game against a 4k and won by 0.5 points. I'd be happy if someone could point out one or two things I should keep an eye on in future games.

Kind regards,
Michael

I'm not much stronger than you, but I think your go could get a lot better if you use your time better :)

A few comments on the opening:

Fair enough, you're right. I've only recently started playing and still have to control my urge to play fast and simply click on the first intersection that jumps into my eye. I think my biggest hurdle to become better is to take my time and think more strategically and read much more. Unfortunately, it's also the most difficult to tackle :-(

On the side, somehow (if you can say so after about 10 games) I jumped from a mid-6k to a weak 4k / strong 5k in the pause.

Cheers,
Michael

I copied Emeraldemon's SGF, so his comments are still in here. Mine are prefaced with my initials.
