Instead of accentuating the negative (see my recent posts), I thought I would provide some praise for a Go server that I've found to be very pleasant, easy to use, feature rich, and user friendly. That server is Nova - http://nova.gs/

It's a place where I go if I want a more intellectually-based game. I'm not sure how to unpack that, but perhaps it's the relative pace one can take advantage of that makes it so enjoyable for me. There's also the chat room(s). I don't participate all that often in chats but when I do, I'm always greeted with a friendly welcome, the conversations are fun, and the developers are always present and involved.

Nova for me has the sort of community–based feeling to it that I've been harping about lately. While Go is certainly about the competitive challenge of matching wits and skill, it's also about the connections with other people and the communities that develop as a result.

If you have the chance, I would highly recommend a visit to Nova.

Nova really looks good - I've been checking on it for quite some time. But I have never seen a real-time game there - is it not meant for that purpose?

You are able to play realtime games (there is no distinction other than the timesettings really) but it is difficult to find an open challenge for a realtime game as there are not many players online at the same time.
Your best bet is to join the chat and ask if anyone would like to play, I've played a few realtime games there that way.
