Please don't insult me - I never said, nor do I want to play my ruleset to avoid learning others. I wish more people on forums were like Kirby.

Nevertheless, wms doesn't have to fulfill easy visions that aren't his, so I'll have to keep looking.

My apologies, I misunderstood this quote as "I don't need to play on a server where I have to figure out which rulesets it uses". I see now what you actually meant.

In that case though, even less reason not to play turn based games on OGS. :)

Of course, but since this is the internet, we will say when your opinions are wrong. :)

KGS and IGS may have larger user bases than OGS, but everyone on OGS is looking to play turn-based games, whereas very few people are looking to do that on KGS. So, for what you want, OGS probably has a lot more users than KGS does (I can't speak for IGS).

I'm glad to hear that OGS is so popular, but I'm considering DGS too.

BTW, hijacked?

No, you're wrong! :-p

And by "we", I suppose you mean the collective public which disagrees with me, right? :-D

Not to mention, on dedicated turn-based servers most active users are playing many games simultaneously. This is why when you look at a server like dragon ( I personally haven't played on OGS, but I would imagine it is similar), it will have >1000 games updated in the last few hours, as opposed to KGS which has ~500 games running at any given time. If you have 200 users logging in at a given time to update their 10 games (honestly both these numbers might be low, just going for ballpark estimation), it means quite a large number of opportunities to find games....

Very true...
But to understand this, a person needs a willingness to compromise and the ability to look outside some self-imposed box.

Just sayin'... ;)

I've abandoned all threads. I was on vacation for the past two weeks with very little chances for internet access.

Now I don't even remember what this thread was about. The topic ("resuming games") doesn't seem to apply to the last few messages, which seem to be discussing pbem-style games.
