Re: An optimistic stray thought on Western Go

In Europe one of the best ways to check the health of the game in a particular country remains the EGD , for example we can argue (lament) that Sweden is as sick as a dog https://www.europeangodatabase.eu/EGD/Stats_Country.php?ricerca=1&country_code=SE
At the same time, more and more people have an ...

Re: New servers and marketing

That's a very interesting point about overwhelming the reader with positive babble, I had not considered this technique before, it sounds very plausible.

To explain a little bit more about the phrase "A game of minds played by hearts" , it just doesn't make sense to a native speaker, perhaps for ...

New servers and marketing

Quite recently I heard about Flavian Aubelle's project to build a new Go server , which you can find over here https://www.gameofgo.com/
Even more recently I saw this effort by Sinan Dejpov, https://explorebaduk.com/
What caught my eye was the effort they'd put into their brand.

Re: EGC in Turkey

I suppose that it remains superior to Russia. One measure from 2023 https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/human-rights-index-vdem?tab=table places it 8 points higher, not exactly a stellar performance. The event will be 25th July to 8th August, at Ankara ...
