Senko 2025, European win

Post by Ferran »

I was looking for the SGF on the Pro section, which was finishing as I woke up this morning. Apparently, the Ama tournament already finished on Friday, and we have a European winner, by resignation (I assume; it's one of those "wins without counting" of old). Now, I'll grant that with 3/8 of the players, Europe had a good chance of having *someone* in the final. Still, I think the positives of having a European world (ama) champion, with a surname that doesn't have people think "Oh, well, sure; it's family" are not quite explored.

Anyhow, this is the game. You can find them on EGF's site. Take care.

Outside of the European Congress, what's the biggest international amateur event that a European has won?
