Instead of punishing the many loses players, you should award the many wins! This gives the same result but better feeling for those who play actively.

On how to do it, you can do as how goverment taxes you. If someone's win points is higher than 10 then they have 20% bonus for points above 10 ...

Language is for communication. If people understand what does it want to express, that's ok then. If many people use it in daily life, some years later, it may be listed as one the the defination in dictionary.

How non-native speakers use the words is not the main topic of this thread. Nothing can ...

Were the masks voluntary or compelled?
voluntary, of course.

As to the talking rule, I don't know the specifics for this event but I think it's usually the rule that no talking is allowed except for the purpose of conferring whether to resign.

in the mixed pair game Park jung hwan - lee selah vs ryusing - tangyi ref declared chinese pair won the game.
chinese players only had 1 min left in the game and having taugh time making move. (if time runout they lose)
ref interfere and made decision ...

One of Japanese pairs wore breathing masks in pair go to prevent speaking to each other by accident :D

Can players not speak anything to his/her partner during the game, even like 'it's your turn'?
