Re: Lost and adrift...

Many thanks for the feedback, it is much appreciated. The missed C4 at around move 95/97 was due to a massive and embarrassingly obvious reading glitch on my behalf. I thought I was going to save the R13 group, and got so caught up in the top half of the group I failed to notice the lack of ...

Lost and adrift...

Hi there,

I recently played this game on Dragon, and although I won, I felt horribly lost through most of the game. Around move 87 I made a poor choice, where I thought my ko threat had to be answered. After that, I lost direction, and wasn't quite sure any more where I should be focusing my ...

Re: 10 kyu Turn Based game

Looking a bit more, w30 seems to be the first really bad move.

Agreed. I'm trying to remember what I was thinking at the time. I think I had read out a favourable sequence, without really considering the black might not respond as favourably as he could.

w44: better to save your corner.

I ...

Hi p2501

Thanks for the game! I was hoping to use the clues provided in the review to whip you in the rematch, I see that plan has been foiled already.

10 kyu Turn Based game

Hi,

After a fairly long break, I've rediscovered the joy of go, and turn-based go, which I'd never really tried before. I really enjoyed this game, it's the first time I've been able to really think about moves and consider variations away from the game. I put a fair amount of thought into the game ...

Re: Shygost

Hi Violence,

I'm certainly not qualified to comment on what you have said, so I won't go into that. I must point out in his defence though that he has been nothing but helpful to me, even to the point of randomly helping me out when we bump into eachother on KGS. And for no reason other than to ...

Options greyed out

Hi,

Whenever I play, all the options are greyed out - I can't save, add time, etc...

Anyone know why this is so?

Re: Creating and Maintaining a Pro Game Database for Dummies

Thanks Hushfield, very helpful - I was having great fun going through games using MoyoGo, then the program just stops working after a couple of days. I have to reinstall, then it's fine, again only for a couple of days.

Has anyone else experienced this, and were you able to resolve it? I'm using ...

Thanks Bill - quite a "duh" moment when I saw what you pointed out at 158.

Surprised you only found 2!

Lost, but where was the losing play?

Hi, I played this on KGS last night, and was reasonably happy, despite losing. I lost my way a bit in the middle of the game, and seemed to lose sight of what I was trying to do, any pointers would be greatly appreciated. I have put my thoughts down as I remembered them from during the game, and a ...

All of your comments I find absolutely fair 145 you're definitely quite right about - I rarely get to play a half-decent endgame online because I always have too little time left, and I must have made that play on pure instinct rather than actual thought. Your comment on 69 I find most ...
