Re: Ever buy from China?

The site you linked to is actually an agent. Like I wrote I never used an agent b ecause I live in China and use the "original" taobao.com site (not a .pe).

EDIT: I looked up the laser ingraved board on taobao.com. it's 520CNY (around $83) also it's 5.6kg

Well, I know that China is buying up a ...

Re: Ever buy from China?

I buy things on Taobao all the time (including some Go material). works great.
it's basically a bigger version of Amazon + ebay + paypal all in one.
You can find everything you can think of, there is good custommer service, incredibly fast shipping.
Only catch is that you have to be IN China. (some ...

Go in Shanghai

I'm looking for some places in Shanghai to play Go. Preferably where they speak English.
I went to Fuxing Park yesterday, but people were only playing Chinese chess and Mahjong.
Because I don't read (or speak) any Chinese I have not been able to find something useful on Google either.

Re: Go in airbus A380

I found it on reddit:

translation also from reddit:

Last day of 2011 and I'm flying again to Korea. This time via Dubai, and in a monster flying machine: the Airbus 380, seat 55C. Just in the middle of the plane (88 rows!). I just happen to look through the on-board video games and I find this ...

Re: deleting database from MoyoGo

The one I created called "my games" is not showing up there. (I looked there before and did so again just now)
the database and games are however shown in the program itself.

Maybe I did something really strange resulting in a bug or something.
anyway thx for the help.

Re: Making a Goban

You mention you want to use it more as a piece of art (having it sit in empty-ish room) than to play on it.
making a "real" floor goban that is not only playable, but also looks nice enough is not easy and takes a lot of time even if you do have the tools available.
for example how are you going to ...

Go sighting (dutch limerick)

I was looking up some information about limericks, and to my great surprise I found that one of the examples on the dutch Wikipedia article is about Go. It's not a very good limerick in my opinion but thought it worth sharing non the less. I know there are quite a few Dutch people on this forum. so ...

Re: A Test for Board Positions

why not do this experiment here on the forum.

Just select a finnished pro game and post the position at move 100.
from the finished game you already know how two pro's played out the game.
next ask people on the forum to play out the game in pairs of two (with each pair approx same rank)

pairs ...
