Sorry for the delay folks. I think I know the move I want to make, but I need to check things out a bit first. Nice to see people are interested in this position though. |

Heh, read the comments. And most are right; I do play mostly intuitively, until a fight starts, then I read. But I do very little before the fights, just play what looks good and important and see what happens. It hurts my game, I know, but I long ago realized I didn't have time to properly study, so I just play the way I enjoy and don't worry so much about whether I'm getting better or not. I also never read books except sometimes I do tsumego problems. If I ever have time to study seriously I'd like to do so, play more serious games, and try to gain a few stones, but that's at least 15 years away, and maybe never going to happen until I'm too old to play well anyway. Oh well. I wish I could read the earliest comments, but magicwand's estimate of the game looks similar to mine; by the time we got into the stuff on this forum, I already felt like I'd not only lost my handicap advantage but fallen behind. I made mistake after mistake from there, steadily falling farther behind. Towards the end I was trying to hang on to everything (e.g., where magicwand says I can give up 6 stones and get a lot), but that was on purpose, I knew I'd lose unless I was able to get it all. That's what I meant by "screw that I'm going to be greedy" comment. Well I'm off. Maybe in a while I'll play another malkovich game, it was fun, but it's hard because I always want to play at work but work won't really let me do that!!! |

Hi, I was a more or less silent reader but wanted to say that I really enjoyed the game and the comments, both from the players and the other viewers. It was quite interesting to be able to look in all your minds, so to speak - Mic |

wms, I thought I had uploaded an archive of this game already. It appears I haven't, so here it is. At least you'll be able to see all the previous comments, even if others miss this post.
