Good for him, they seem happy.
The white dress & tuxedo style seems very western to me, is it the norm now in Korea?

I don't think that there is a "norm," as it depends a lot on what the couple wants. The same is true for the type of food you'd eat, what kind of flowers you have, and so on.emeraldemon wrote:Good for him, they seem happy.

There are two common types of attire: "Western-style" and hanbok. The latter is the more traditional look.
I was married in Korea, and we chose to wear "Western-style" (me in a tuxedo, my wife in a white dress) for the ceremony, and then changed into hanbok for pictures. Some people wanted pictures in both types of clothing, so there was a lot of clothes changing.
My mom and her mom both wore hanbok the entire time, whereas my dad and her dad wore suits the whole time.
But this is all just what we chose. Lots of couples have their own preference.
Of course, as hanbok is the more traditional attire, you see more "Western-style" wedding attire than in the past. Still, lots of people still go for hanbok.
And in the case of me and my wife, we wore both at various times throughout the day (which is common, I feel).
