It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image

I've been getting this error off and on when trying to post a picture that I'd uploaded to imgur, and this time I couldn't post the image despite resizing it. What is the problem, and would somebody please describe the preferred method of posting images here on the website?

What "size" was the smallest you tried?

What was the filesize(megabytes)?

What is the file type?(jpeg, tiff, etc)?

The smallest I tried was 4,74 KB, yes KB. It was a jpeg file.

Perhaps you tried to embed a page containing the image instead of the image itself.
