What I find interesting is that it's a valid board. Kudos to the author for spending the effort.

For basic QR codes, you can use an online reader: http://zxing.org/w/decode.jspx
This doesn't work for the more creative ones though.
I had seen a previous demonstration of a go board QR code, but that one was an illegal position. Impressive!
