Don't worry Violence, I'll do another one very soon and with a bigger prize as well :P.

one question on the game #3
you say they are 4D
are they KGS ranking?
if it is ...they must very very weak 4d.
i can spot many mistakes and i am only 3 dan.
4D i played in KGS (although few) are stronger than them two.

I knew the second game was pro! xD Guess I need to learn not to second-guess myself. ;) I'm pretty surprised at my result though, didn't think I did that well. :)

Congratz to adoreme, hope to participate in the next contest! Thanks to araban for hosting.

Well, as they say, you are 2 stones stronger as an observer :). And yes, it is KGS ranking.

Pretty sure most people would gladly accept this. As for the prizes and what not, I don't think it's a requirement for this thread. I can understand it add some more incentive, but it also seems a slight drain if you add prizes every single time you make a thread like this. I would suggest trying to time the prizes at once per month basis(or if that's too much, once every few months until you get tired of doing it). Ideally, it would start at the beginning of the month, and then you'd reveal the answers around the middle of the month(or faster if there is a high demand, and the thread has stagnated.)

Also doing this, is voluntary. Never forget that. I don't mean to put added pressure. I apologize if it does.

Let's have a series - maybe 5 in total, each two weeks apart, with 5 games. So there's a grand total of 250 points up for grabs?

I like the idea of a series of these :)

This sounds good. And this way I can just give one prize at the end of a series rather than after every round, which my wallet won't like :P.

Here's some analysis of how rank relates to score

Maybe I could throw in a free offline review for the kyu player with the best overall score?

I can see my score from here! Seriously, it begins to show that I almost never play through other people's games. The closest I get is watching Malkovich games and sitting in on the rare odd game on KGS (Last week saw a really interesting game between Alakazam and the Captain). I wonder if perhaps I should start going through some pro games, or if that's more beneficial at dan-level.

I wouldn't recommend forcing yourself to play through them in the hope that they'd help, but if you find that you enjoy it then it's definitely worthwhile at 6k.
