There's hope for the rest of us
This game - a 5D vs a 5D on KGS - was moderately amusing, particularly white's penultimate move.
Can anybody find a better move than filling the ko?

Interesting. My inner ddk moments usually last less than the entire game, not much less unfortunately

Wow. That's just... wow. I guess even dans can have moments of derpitude. What a way for a game to end. I'm the kind of guy who'd offer an undo if I were in black's position.

you forgot to censor the names on several occasions, at the end notably.Joaz Banbeck wrote:This game was moderately amusing, particularly white's penultimate move.

If you need to do this in the future you can just open the sgf with a text editor and do a find and replace for the names you want to remove. (Won't work for typos by kibitzers though)Joaz Banbeck wrote:Thanks. I think I got them all now.

Re: 5D vs 5D on KGS
I was watching games on KGS tonight, and saw another one. This was 6D vs 5D
It ended by black's resignation.
Can anybody find a better move than resigning?

Re: 5D vs 5D on KGS
White's last move is also really bad, since he could've lived with E4.

Re: There's hope for the rest of us
Recently, I have had a string of games that seem to end that way either I or my opponent makes a brain dead obvious mistake(self atari or missing an easy capture), after a complicated Ko Fight or during an extended capturing race. I suspect it is due to some sort of fatigue or endurance problem.
