Looking for a new headset

Post by SoDesuNe »

Since my old headset is starting to break apart, I'm looking for a new one but I have no clue where I could get the most for my money. Maybe someone here has experiences with a certain headset/brand and can recommend it?

Primarily I'm looking for a headset which covers the whole ear and is light enough to comfortably wear it a couple of hours. The sound should be crystal clear and distinct, especially when the volume is low. Stereo is fine, I don't need any special gimmicks. It would be nice if the headset would come with its own volume regulator.

Any tips? =)

Sennheiser PC 340 or 360. 340 is closed, 360 is open, based off the 59x series headphones which are superb sound wise. Neither is cheap though.

Thanks for the tip!

I went with the SteelSeries Siberia v2, though. It's only half the price and I'm very happy with it.

I've a pair of Steelseries headphones, the microphones are quite nice on them if I remember correctly. :)

I use my Creative Fatal1ty Professional MKII Gaming Headset.

- Not very expensive.
- Made to be used for a very long time (I've used them several times for 6-10 consecutive hours without a problem and I've had many ear pain problems with other similar headsets).
- Very good microphone that can be put and removed in a second (headphones jack).
- Resistant and very flexible cable (with volume controls and mic-on/off).
