Well, I have no idea who's going yet, but I thought I would start this poll anyway. It is something of a tradition by now.

I thought people played in the KPMC rather than countries. :blackeye:

So little info online about the 7th KPMC? A results table would be nice. OR an sgf or two if you missed the live recording on WBADUK.

Full table : http://kamyszyn.go.art.pl/kpmc2012 (it should be on EGD soon)

There was some mini McMahon system there - 35 players (from 70) with 1 point more, but surprisingly some strong players (Matthew Burrall 7d USA,Chen Xiao Chun 6d Australia and 3 players with 5d) were in lower group and at the same time 2 shodans and even 1 first kyu player were in upper group.

Good work.

Last year the USA came 65th, which may explain their initial placing.
Slovenia and Australia finished 44th and 41st.
Chile finished in 11th (!) place last time - further reinforcing my theory that starting positions where based on last year's positions.

Congratulations to all the players. Yongfei Ge coming in 3rd is a great result. 6 games is not that many for the number of players, though.

So the rep from Spain, Oscar Anguila 2d, defeated both Ali Jabarin 5d (IL) and Gregor Butala 5d (SI)? Maybe shouldn't be 2d anymore... :)

promotions in spain are regulated strictly through rating points, i bet he doesn't get promoted for a long time :)

I believe that Iran is being represented forthe first time in the KPMC should be bigger news for the internationalisation of Go than the actual result of the tournament. Strange that nobody mentioned it.
