Cool Rule Set
One simple additional rule: Every move must be more than 3 spaces away from the last. Try it out.

2 separate boards. players must respond to moves played on the other board. For example, B1 on board 1, W2 must reply on board 1, then B3 must be played on board 2, white replys on board 2 and black plays on board 3. And so-on. winner is the one with the most territory between the 2 boards, and captures are shared between boards.

That's just playing two different games, isn't it?

Yeah....It sounded more complex in my head

Re: Cool Rule Set
what if you can't have a stone on a spot if your opponent has a stone in the same place on the other board?

Yeah that was sorta my original idea. the idea being if you put the 2 boards together, you would have the real game. But you split them up and then score them that way, as 2 separate games. I don't know how much sense this makes to anyone but me.

Re: Cool Rule Set
It makes sense, but it probably would be impossible to score. At the end of the game, territories aren't likely to be defined.
