Sorely tempted to ignore that, but White still needs to ignore two more threats, and the threat of cutting in the middle is now very big. Also, there's more points at the top as well as the cut at E4 that I wanted to play. Either way, perhaps I shouldn't continue this fight, but I think White's running low enough on threats of value that it's worth it.

I guess no one cares about the prisoner count anymore. :)

Don't you have young children? If I tried to set up a game in my house, it wouldn't last long.

@hyperpape: Yep, 3 five and unders, but my bedroom doubles as an office, and it's the one room that's out of bounds to them ;)

My "office" is currently off-limits, but only because it's currently so full of junk that she can't safely spend time in there. Cleaning is underway.

I have a few more ko threats there now - E18, and threatening to make the cut again each time he protects it.

Very many thanks to you magicwand, I thought I'd never hear those words in one of our games!

Wow, what a marathon :)

I hope that was as enjoyable to those watching / commenting as it was to play.

Thank you both, so much, for the game! I haven't said anything, but I have thoroughly enjoyed reading through all of the comments and watching the action!

Talk about getting your heart racing with a game of Go! (And my wife wonders what's wrong with me...)

Phew, I was worried about you, topazg! You sounded really pessimistic about the state of the game when it began to enter the endgame (even though Black had sente, even board, and better endgame potential). So I was really wondering if you were going to sadly resign early or count the board position and regain your confidence.

I've had too much experience with playing this guy. I was a bit more optimistic than I sounded, but letting it carry me away has cost me dearly in the past ;)

Thanks to both of you, Magicwand and Topazg, I enjoyed watching your game a LOT, and I may even have learnt a few things (though I couldn’t name them now). And forgive me for not clicking »like« on EVERY of your posts even though I really should have.
