In an attempt to head that future off, Terminator-like, Cambridge University has announced it’s setting up a center next year devoted to the study of technology and “existential risk” — the threat that advances in artificial intelligence, biotechnology and other fields could pose to mankind’s very existence.

I hate to break it to you, but they are a political organization, not a scientific organization. I don't think most of the people talking really understand what they are talking about.
Edit: I would like to amend my previous statement. Some of the people in your video probably know what they are talking about, but are misrepresenting the facts because they have an ulterior motive.
