Is saving games broken with the english client? I cannot get it to work. All the answers already on the internet simply don't have the corresponding menu options or they don't produce the game files.
I'm on WinXP and the directory C:\Programme\TygemGlobal\Games doesn't exist.
I can use the games menu (right side) to double click on my game and view it. Menu (bottom right) pops up the option "Save games", and I click on it and nothing happens.
Review (bottom right) opens another window with a row of buttons on the bottom. "Save" is one of the buttons but it's greyed out.
I played some games on my iPad with the tygem client, maybe that is the problem?

peppernut, two things to try:
- (last resort): if you can open a "saved" game but cannot find a way to save it,
you can always open another Go editor and copy the game over move by move, by hand. (I'm being serious.)
- Next time, after you finish playing a game, but BEFORE you ever leave your game window,
try to save your game, but not in the default directory; instead, change it to another directory,
say, your desktop. You can then easily check to see if your game is newly saved there.
(After you close your just-finished game, you may not ever be able to "save" it again.)
PS. I hate their client.

Also, to Ed:
I was thinking about replaying the game to create a record, actually, when I noticed that there wasn't any email or save option in the iPad client. There's a trick that makes this easier which iPad users might not know about.
If you simultaneously press the home button on the bottom and the sleep button on the top, iOS takes a screenshot. It makes a camera sound, and you can see the screenshot under the "camera roll" option in the Photo App. Tygem also has a "sequence" option which displays the move number over each stone in the final position. If you take a screenshot of that, you have a record of the game on your iPad; it's just in an awkward format.

I am just curious, why do you need to save or record your games?
Amsterdam, soon.

I prefer to review my play on my iPad, that's all. I don't care to save them for recordkeeping or anything like that. I only run windows on an older macbook through parallels desktop, so it's slow and unfamiliar.
