Commented Games by Lee Sedol Vol.1
Amazing. Fascinating.
Wrote by Lee Sedol, with the support of his sister, the comments are clear.. diagrams big, the whole book is a very nice work in his physical print and the content... wow!
It is full of stories and details about Lee Sedol life that give a nice view of the person.
And, yet again, the physical book is one of the best printings I ever had in my hands.

The first book is available in English. There are two more coming. I picked up volumes 2 and 3 in Japanese, since I loved the first one so much. There is a lot of detail, and I'm looking forward to the full set being available in English.
I think these are the best books you can buy on the game.

Re: Commented Games by Lee Sedol Vol.1
you will notice that top professionals have more insight of the game and their books will reflect their insight.
i have seen other weak professionals comment which lacked depth of top professionals.
I have read lee changho commented book and it contained many suttle points that most professionals would never think of.
after reading his comments you would nod your head and agree why he played as such.
top professionals are top for that reason. they read more in depth.
THIS IS PERCISELY THE REASON WHY AMATURES SHOULDNT WRITE GO BOOKS!!!!

You will notice that Lee Sedol took a long time off from professional play to write this set of books. Most professionals would not afford such time away from playing to write such a set of detailed commentaries. A very special set indeed.

Just out of curiosity - do you think we can learn nothing from your malkovitch comments?

I heard from some rpos that he took time off due to a dispute with the kba about having to share prize money with the kba. This also included the rights to his own game records, and would not return to playing or release the book without settling the dispute first. The pros there voted to discipline him for his actions.

Nice review dankenzon
Would you be interested in writing a review here too?

I've wished for a long time that more people would review Go books, so at the moment we have a prize draw for people who write reviews. Every review you write enters you into the draw to win 6 months worth of Baduk TV with English subtitles (worth $120). We draw the prize every three months (the next one is March 31) from everyone who wrote a review in the previous 3 month period. Anyone is welcome to leave an honest review about their favorite (or least favorite) books.

i believe that book should have higher standard than some stronger player giving comments.
i would like to say and comment more on my game... but go is so hard that i am not sure what i am thinking is true.
that is one of the reason why i save comments for what i know for sure.
I reached 1d level in 6 month by reading professionl comments and analysis.
if i read strong dan level comment it would have been much longer for me to reach that level.
that is what i believe.
only way i would write a book is compiling other professionals comments.
