some new posts skipped

wait a minute... I've just discovered that I've been missing some new posts.

I thought I was following each orange marker, and then clicking the "First unread post" link to read every new post so far...

But I just found a thread where there were some interim posts that I had completely missed. Why is that?

I don't know how to help debug the issue, or reproduce it yet. I'll keep my eye out. But I'm kinda OC and can't stand not reading everything (which is a really big problem when I get too far behind ).

what am I doing wrong?

Are you using "view new posts" or "view unread posts"?
