Most of my losses come from when I get blood lust. I understand that about myself, so I well know that I have to read counter attacks better and only go for the kill when my opponent really lets me.

Because I understand this about myself, I've decided to review a game in which I didn't feel like unreasonable behavior was my downfall. Actually, I won this game, but if I make the group in the bottom left live, I am behind by a bit, so I'd like to see some reviews.

I included a couple of my own comments.

On top of those comments, I'd like to add that I think that I should have just left that pincer stone alone as aji and that moving it was a mistake. But I'd love to hear if strong players agree with my assessments.

Just a few quick comments while eating breakfast...

10: This seems unreasonable. You are pushing the cart before the horse, and also endangering your pincer stone. I'd be inclined to call the pincer stone light, and leave it for later, and play C11.

20: You are playing toothpaste go.

Thanks you very much for the comments, Joaz and Bill.

The moves around 14 to 20, I was able to recognize the flaw in my play in retrospect.

And around move 20, I had already felt like that the tooth paste squeezing was a product of that mistake. I appreciate Bill pointing out that my plays weren't sente and my opponent could have made those plays even worse than they were. Since those are plays that I can understand without having them pointed out, I think they'll be the easiest to erase from my game.

Anyhow, I appreciate your pointing out my jealousy towards letting my opponent get territory at the expense of my own expansion when it's beneficial for me to do so. I'll look for that in my games as well. And I'll do my best to stop playing so many small moves that should be gote.

I think part of the problem is that I've gotten in the habit of noticing when I'm playing somebody who I feel will respond passively to secure their own territory, I play smaller moves with the idea that I can gain an advantage in this way. I'm going to try to stop doing this and instead try to play the honestly biggest move on the board.

That's several things for me to work on to improve.

Hello,
after W12, my first instinct as black would be to play G17.

Is this move (G17) possible? I my eyes, black can stay connected or, if Whites pushes at F16 and cuts the C18 Group, win the semeai.
I would love to hear what the stronger players think?

I think that your move invites a white sacrifice of the stone.
It's funny. I look back at this game and my moves look really funny to me.

All of Bill's comments look really obvious once you read them and I feel a bit embarrassed to have played the way that I did. Anyhow, I feel like I learned from this game.
