Occasionally. I describe my job as a “database editor” because I am often editing games from the printed version. This afternoon (on the day I’m writing this :D ) I have recorded a game which had no move 24 but two moves 34, and I had to decide which of the two was 24. Then again, you get a complete game record that looks reasonable until you look at it properly. Here is one where we end up saying “Game recorded as published” because we can’t see what the printers/publishers have missed and this game is one of those. At the end of the game, seven stones are left in atari, but that is how the game record was left.
