While we are so used to mini computers, stupid phones and devices which conspire to keep the city’s population reverting to meanderthals, let us celebrate the first broadcast on Japanese television of a game of Go in full colour in 1971. It was played in the 4th Hayago Championship between Rin Kaiho and Hashimoto Utaro.

Something about the idea of full-colour go strikes me as amusing. I guess the board would be shown in all of its brilliant brown.
