my experience tells me that if you are 2 stone stronger player then it is always possible to win in 3 stonee handy cap.
1k kgs have no chance of winning against me if i dont get distracted.

edit: 1k aga? how different are they??? anyone know how different they are from kgs?

3 stones is a lot different than two stones because black has sente in this position. The difference between black making the first approach and white doing so is quite large. Hopefully no one needs me to explain this move to them. :)

Pretty standard move. I'm playing on a large scale. I'm going to try to play for thickness, as Magicwand's style seems to depend on it. I'm also going to try not to play any "Well, I think this works and would be really cool" moves because those invariably don't work (even though my opponent doesn't always punish it).

I don't like the 1-space low pincer without a stone at r10 already. An extension on the top would feel too soft; it's 3 to 1 on this side of the board, so I should try to push white around some! I expect he'll double approach, which I'll deal with when I see which one he chooses.

This move from white makes me happy, as it's clear what the next few moves will be. Things could have gotten messy with the double approach. Magicwand is going to have a very difficult game (I think) if he doesn't get a joseki mistake out of me, and this is not the way to accomplish that...

OK, first move that really surprised me. I will be trying that combo in my own handicap games... White will jump or double approach next, 3-3 looks terrible for him. I'll have a weak group between two weak groups, which in theory is good for me. I'll try to be content with making white live small, but I really want to kill one of those groups. I'm sure it's not reasonable to kill, though.
